Exactly one year ago today I was laying in a hospital bed all hopped up on morphine and moaning in pain.

Today is the day, last year, that Dr. Davis saved Lilys life. He saved our lives.

This day is oddly just as special to me as her birthday is.

After all, it was the first day of the rest of our lives.
